The Waist to Low Waist Measurement

The waist to low waist measurement is important for fit when making skirts and trousers and is the vertical distance between your waistline and low waist.

If you have used looped elastic to take your waist & low waist measurements, leave these in place and measure the distance between them at the side.

​

If you are just using a tape measure, find your natural waist, which is the narrowest part of your torso and measure down the side to your hip bone.
